About Build Gravity

We remove friction so your team can focus on high-value work

Our Mission

70% of software projects fail to deliver what was promised.[1]

We built BuildGravity to solve this problem differently. We work with domain experts from the start. Our founders have delivered $750M in construction projects, navigated 17 years of licensing regulations, and built healthcare systems. Projects with clear requirements are 97% more likely to succeed.[2]

Our Vision

Organizations shouldn't have to choose between generic software that doesn't fit and custom solutions they can't afford. With AI, we can finally build software tailored to specific operations at costs that make sense. Software that fits how businesses actually work, not the other way around.

Our Approach

  • Client-Centric: We begin with deep listening to understand your operations and identify root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Simplicity-Focused: We deliver clean, user-friendly solutions without unnecessary complexity.
  • ROI-Driven: We target high-impact opportunities that deliver measurable value.
  • Non-Disruptive: We work behind the scenes without burdening your existing teams or workflows.

Our Team

Meet the founders behind Build Gravity

Jason Deichert - Founder & CTO

Jason Deichert

Founder & CTO

Before BuildGravity, Jason built healthcare software at Phreesia. His systems process millions of patient records for hospitals like R1, OneOncology, and Ascension. One product he built handles $50M in patient payments every year.

He started BuildGravity because he saw AI making things possible that weren't before. Organizations could finally solve their biggest constraints without deploying comprehensive systems they didn't need.

He believes in understanding problems deeply, building for the long term, and iterating with the experts and users who know what actually matters.

James Banks - Founder & COO

James Banks

Founder & COO

Jamie is a registered architect (AIBC, RAIC) who led project teams delivering $750M in construction value at Human Studio, including BC Housing's Rosewood Masterplan and projects for Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards. He co-founded Banks Architecture, helping businesses navigate architecture, permitting, and licensing across the Lower Mainland.

He explored many software options for Banks Architecture, but none of them truly fit. He co-founded BuildGravity to build something better.

He realized this problem exists across many industries. With AI making custom solutions feasible, organizations could finally get software built for their actual operations.

Christa Montpetit - Founder & CEO

Christa Montpetit

Founder & CEO

Christa brings 17 years of experience in liquor licensing and hospitality consulting to BuildGravity. She founded Blue Diamond Hospitality, which she blended into Banks Architecture as a natural evolution of her work.

She's an expert in navigating complex multi-level permitting and licensing requirements. Her professional relationships with officials across BC and Canada are a key part of her success.

She guides organizations through the processes that determine whether projects succeed or fail. From application to approval, she brings professionalism, persistence, and the relationships that make complex regulatory processes work.

Interactive Psychology Experiment Builder

We created this step-by-step tutorial to help University of Waterloo psychology students build experiments without coding expertise. The interactive guide walks users through creating their own psychological experiments, making complex technical processes accessible to researchers who want to focus on their science, not programming syntax.

Clinical Data Analysis Tool

Partner: Bear Lab, SickKids Hospital (Cystic Fibrosis Research)

Developed for cystic fibrosis research at SickKids Hospital, this Python tool automates complex fluorescence data analysis that previously required hours of manual processing. The system handles sophisticated scientific data processing while maintaining the reliability and precision that healthcare research demands.
